Take the Long View
As we Eternalists look forward to a new year, I would like to pause for a moment and ponder some themes from President Nelson's Think Celestial! address from last General Conference.
Question: What Eternalism themes were you able to identify from President Nelson's remarks?

Elder Nelson's October Conference address was an Eternalism bonanza. Here are a few Eternalism themes quoted from it:
Avoid Mysticism
"An understanding of God’s fabulous plan takes the mystery out of life and the uncertainty out of our future."

Ends and Means
"In my first message as President of the Church, I encouraged you to begin with the end in mind."

Abide and Abound
"Obedience paves the way for a joyful life for you today and a grand, eternal reward tomorrow."

Beware of Fallacies (Truth Attacked)
"Much of the world does not believe this, but public opinion is not the arbiter of truth."

Observation/Revelation (Primacy Issue)
"Please do the spiritual work to increase your capacity to receive personal revelation."

Life (not love) as the Standard
"Please do the spiritual work to increase your capacity to receive personal revelation."

And finally, my favorite quote from the talk which would be a great mission statement for Eternalists to adopt in 2024 because it fits nicely with many previous Church leaders statements on the philosophy of Eternalism:
Life (not love) as the Standard
"When you make choices, I invite you to take the long view - an eternal view."
