John 14:6 (Merry Christmas 2023!)
As we Eternalists celebrate another Christmas, let us pause for a moment and ponder how our philosophy and theology center on the savior Jesus Christ. In one simple scripture (John 14:6) Christ Himself describes his central role in four of the five branches of philosophy.
"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."
With your understanding of Eternalism, do you recognize the deep philosophical foundations in Christ's seemingly simple statement?
Metaphysics (The Life): Christ is the metaphysical source of all organized life on earth.
Epistemology (The Truth): Christ is the epistemological source of all revealed truth via the Holy Spirit.
Value Ethics (The Way): Christ is the pattern for all righteous actions leading to our exaltation.
Politics (The Kingdom): Christ's Atonement is the only means to get us to our Eternal destination. "No man cometh unto the Father, but by me."
